Small businesses have been closing their doors while Amazon just closed their best year with $386 billion, an increase of 37% from 20191. With a third lockdown well underway, a few local shops decided to turn their biggest competition into self-promotion by handing out business cards made from used Amazon boxes. Unbox local – a campaign developed by creative agency TAXI Toronto – is meant to encourage people to shop local and remind them of the importance of supporting small business.
